Last week, our team received this email from an individual who has been a part of The Pursuit since the Preview Services. I had to share it. Enjoy:

Hey guys,

I had it in my heart to let you guys know how happy and excited I am to be part of ThePursuit. I feel it is God who brought me to your doors and you guys welcomed me with open arms. I had been attending different churches for a while and God was tugging at my heart to choose a home church where I can take part in all areas of the church like serving, community groups, ministry, etc... but I just hadn't found a church that gave me that sense of it being God's will. but as you know, God's timing is perfect and that is when I got ThePursuit flyer in the mail.

I know it was God who led me to ThePursuit but it was your authenticity, servant's heart, warmness, kindness, and love that sold me into wanting to be a part of this church. I know that God has great plans for this church and I am privileged to be a part of it. You guys make me feel like part of the family, and I want to let you know that I appreciate it and am looking forward to growing deeper in our relationships.

Most important of all, I am growing a deeper relationship with Our Father in Heaven, and I thank you guys for being an instrument from God to help me do so. Because of your obedience to Him, you will help believers like me grow in Jesus Christ and best of all, you will bring lost souls out of the fiery pits of hell into the Paradise of Heaven. Praise God!

This past Sunday, The Pursuit Christian Church celebrated its first baptism. Francesca is a 16 year-old student and this is her story:

God - a year ago today the name meant absolutely nothing to me. I didn't believe in him, his word, or even his existence. A year ago today, I was a miserable person. I was surrounded by all the wrong people. People who hurt me, and dragged me down. People who only used me. They never saw me for who I was, they never listened to me. The boys I associated myself with only wanted one thing. They never cared for my personality or who I really was. And just when I felt like I was a complete failure, like no one could ever possibly care for me or love me; I found Him. When I felt like I would never be good enough for anyone, God placed the right people in my life to guide me towards Him. I grew angry, depressed, and lonely and just before I did anything seriously stupid and messed up my life forever, He saved me. I have met and grown close to some of the greatest people in the past six months, and I have let go of those who hurt me. God has taught me that I am good enough, that I am worthy, and that people will always care and love me, and most importantly, that He will always care and love me. And even though, I continue to struggle from time to time, I have grown to be happy despite it all. Because life is full of struggles, but when you're walking with God, its okay.
