As we head into next week's message about "Leading as We Serve," our last of 4 postcards will hit neighborhood homes.

This card wraps up the "What Are You Searching For?" series by offering a new vantage point on what it means to be successful. The card reads:

"You could be sitting in a corner office overlooking Brickell Bay but still not be successful.

God defines true success in terms of the legacy we leave. Who have we served? Who are we teaching? Whose lives have we made better because we took the time to help them accomplish something significant?

A new church meeting in South Florida, The Pursuit is passionate about building up leaders who invest in the lives of others, making the world a better place by meeting its needs."

Thanks for your ongoing prayers for our marketing endeavors to resonate with audiences and provoke a response.

It's funny. Our whole staff has experience working in churches where 80% or more of guests came because they were invited by a friend. Right now, about 80% of The Pursuit's first-time attenders are coming because of these cards. Can't wait to see that statistic change as these first-time guests start inviting their friends and that becomes our most effective marketing vehicle.

Postcard 3: Fazebook

Postcard 3 hit homes today. We're REALLY excited about the postcard series our Creative Team developed. Each card deals with different answers to the question: "What Are You Searching For?"

Card 1: Purpose ... "Ooogle"
Card 2: Friendship ... "Fazebook"
Card 3: Success ... "Munster.com"

Since it's a little hard to read in the photo, here's what card 2 is all about:

Even with 7 billion people on earth, it's hard to find a genuine friend. We meet people through work, school and social gatherings, but do we really "connect"?

We're all looking for real friendships … people to laugh with, help us out, celebrate our successes and cry with us when things really stink.

God doesn't want us to live life alone. He created us to connect with friends who will come alongside us to figure out what life is all about.

A new church meeting in South Florida, The Pursuit is helping people find friendships that encourage, challenge and support.

Pray for these cards to be approached with curiosity, interest and action.

Postcard 2 Hits Mailboxes Today!

Our 2nd of 4 postcards hits homes in the South Broward/North Dade areas today. I look forward to my phone ringing off the hook again this week. (Since we don't have a main church line yet, my cell phone gets to be ground zero for all Pursuit info. It's busy but so cool to hear people's questions and responses to this new church.)

God has surrounded us with talented people! In every aspect of the church, from tech to Kids City to Community Groups, we have seen people locally and around the world use their skills to make The Pursuit the great church it already is.

In my world, I get to see some incredibly creative artists ... the Fishhook team, Traders Point's Jeff Miller and Chuck Jarrell, and now The Pursuit's own Klara Estrada ... use their creativity to help churches communicate and stand out in the crowd of marketing messages.

Chuck and Klara teamed up to orchestrate this week's card. I LOVE it! I think people will really be intrigued. It will provoke them to learn more ... about Jesus. What do you think?
