In the last few days we have been working on raising support for our mission in Miami, and we’ve come to discover that it is one of the hardest things to do when planting a church. At the same time, God uses this to show how His children respond to the calling and support those who embark in new adventures. And, when it does happen, it is beautiful to see. It is one of God’s ways of showing us that we are not alone, and that He cares for His mission in South Florida.
Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I announce our very first official supporters!
1) One family - The Bennetts:
Even though we are not related, we consider them family because of their close ties with us and with our own family. They have shared with us many great moments in the last years. Plus, Tim (the gentleman in the black suit) is a jokester, so it's never dull when he's around. Thank you for your support! We love you guys!
2) One church - Crossway Community :
This church has not even been born yet, and is already helping other churches! They are located in Taylor Mill (in Northern Kentucky) and will start public services on September 16th of this year. I have a personal connection with this church because it stems from the ministry where I used to lead worship in First Church of Christ, and is led by the pastor I used to work with – Wes Sebree. They have expressed their willingness to support us, and we are very grateful for their partnership.
If you want to partner with us in this mission, go to www.miamipursuit.com and go to “Team Pursuit” to find out how you can help us be Christ’s body in Miami.
Yaaayyyy! We're excited and encouraged right along with you.
